What does this farm breed paint TB's for? They certainly are unique. Fabulous shots, as usual!

They breed them for people to either race or show. Some do race, such as Painted La Riva. Others appear in the show ring.

In some cases, people buy them as colored TB breeding stock.... basically to get the ball rolling as far as colored Thoroughbred breeding.

And, correct me if I'm wrong, but these are full thoroughbred who just happen to be registered with APHA, right?


Some of your captions tend to be a bit misleading.. I think if you mention that they are double registered then it would clear a few things up.

Either way, Painted Desert has AMAZING stock. All her boys look lovely and from what you said are very well mannered. That's something I'd look for in a prospective sire.

I was also wonder how you get in to take pictures like this? Do you have to know someone in the business?
