Quite simply... WOW, that's really neat!

Looks like a scene from "Ben Hur"...

Hey shortlead, you're so right! That's funny.

Kim, it was truly amazing. It was interesting to see the other exercise riders' reactions...some thought it was beautiful, and some were annoyed as they worried their horses would spook.

For a sight that wonderful, though, on that special morning, it seemed they should just, "Get tied on..." (said she from her comfortable computer chair, rather than from horseback) ;)

Thanks for visiting.

As usual the photography is incredible and the horses are just fabulous. What a true pleasure to see!

amazing photo, Barbara! I think this is something that will eventually be a common sight in the future. I can only imagine how awesome it was to see these beauties.

I love your work. What kind of camera's do you use?

From: Barbara (Wed 19 Apr 2006 03:47:33 PM PDT)
Hi Sabrina,

I use all Canons - either the 1V if film, or the digital cameras (shame on me - off the top of my head I can't think of the model - 1D?). I use about 75% digital nowadays.

WOW, this is stunning! I wish I could have a copy of this hanging on my wall.

I saw this in the Blood Horse a number of weeks ago (it was their two-page photo-spread) and said "WHOA!!" Weirdly, the slug for the photo said it was three horses and a pony, but I see two horses and what looks like two ponies. Unless one racehorse is working out with a western bit!

Forgot to mention -- ALLAMYSTIQUE!!! You totally made my day! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS HORSE! I thought he went to stud, but I keep checking Painted Desert and see nothing about him there. Obviously, he's still in training, though I never get workout info for him anymore.

As "mother" to all white Westie doggies, I just love this series. I love all of Barbara's photos. I revisit her site just to be inspired of the neverending beauty of the natural world.

Just like "shortlead" posted above, I also thought of "Ben-Hur" when I saw this photo in the Blood Horse. Absolutely stunning!

Hey sirbartonslady,

I know you posted long ago...but just in case you ever check, that horse second - from - left with the Western bit is indeed a full TB. They sometimes use him as a pony.

Good catch on the tack!

Thanks for all the kind words, everybody.

Allamystique is now at stud at Reed Hill Farms in TN
